Maureen Watson

·        1931- Was born in Dawson valley.

·        1970- Moved to Brisbane with her family with five children.

·        1982- Stories and poems were published.

·        1982- Was at the forefront of Aboriginal protest against the Commonwealth bank in Brisbane.

·        1996- Was awarded Australian red ocher award in recognition of her. National and international contribution towards recognition of aboriginal arts.

·        2009- Was dead in  Brisbane
