Fred Hollows
1929- was born in New Zealand.
1960- got job in Australia.
1965- became head of eye department in the Sydney hospital.
1970- helped launch a national program to attack eye diseases in aboriginal Australian and treated 30.000 people and did a thousands of operation in three years.
1980- was traveling all over the world to help set up eye programs in developing countries.
1989- was had cancer.
1993- died at home surrounded by friends and family.
